Eddie McCallion

Aged 29, McCallion is now in his 11th season with the club, having originally signed in 1998.

Eddie has been a mainstay of the City defence since returning from Blackburn Rovers. He has played across the back line, but has made the right back spot his own in recent years.

Often deputises in the role of captain if Peter Hutton is absent - captaining the side on 19 occasions to date. Eddie made forty-two appearances in all competitions in the 2007 season, and this shows his importance to the City setup.

Not known as a goal scorer, McCallion's overlapping runs provide another attacking option for City.

Eddie is one of the few brothers to have played in a winning FAI Cup side, as he appeared with brother Tommy in the 2002 winning side.
